Please take a moment to read about this year's recipients and the valuable assistance they provide to our community.
The Royal Ottawa Foundation for Mental Health
Two ways that The Royal has been able to support those struggling with the impacts of COVID-19 are the Prompt Care Clinic which is an outpatient service that provides quick access to specialized mental health care and a Covid Frontline Wellness Service which helps health care workers to simple, fast access to supports and tools for maintaining their mental health and wellbeing. As one of the largest providers of mental health care in Canada — The Royal is here to transform the lives of people suffering from mental illness with innovative and effective treatments, and to identify new methodologies for prevention and early detection. Families and friends of individuals with mental illness are impacted in significant ways and need support as well. From learning to recognize and understand symptoms their loved one is experiencing, to knowing where to go to get help, families need and deserve guidance in navigating the health care system. Thanks to generous donations like yours, our social workers will be able to broaden the wonderful support and services they provide to our family members and friends when their loved one needs help. We are only just beginning this game changing journey here at The Royal and we hope that you will remain by our side along the way. Together we are shifting the landscape of mental health in our community and in Canada.

Kanata Food Cupboard
Please help us support the vulnerable in our community during this Covid-19 pandemic. The Kanata Food Cupboard needs support at this time because vulnerable families can’t afford to stock up food for days and others may be coming to us for help for the first time with the closure of schools and businesses. Many fundraising events have been cancelled. Your help will keep our shelves stocked for anyone who many need food during this stressful time. Your monetary donation helps support the purchase of non-perishable food such as rice and pasta as well as the purchase of perishable food such as milk, meat, fruits and vegetables. With your continued help, we will ensure they have enough.
Shepherds of Good Hope - Hope Living Facility
Hope Living, is a supportive housing residence in Kanata run by Shepherds of Good Hope that provides a permanent home for seniors many who were formerly homeless. Most of our Hope Living residents are living with complex mental health challenges and multiple physical disabilities. As the COVID-19 situation unfolds in Ottawa, Shepherds of Good Hope is working around-the-clock to provide essential support and care to women and men experiencing homelessness. We are all Shepherds, and at times like this we have to lean on each other to be able to get through. If you are able, our community’s homeless need you now more than ever. Your generous support in this time of need will ensure that these essential activities continue. Thank you for your continued support.
