Shepherds of Good Hope - Hope Living Facility
Hope Living, is a supportive housing residence in Kanata run by Shepherds of Good Hope that provides a permanent home for seniors many of whom were formerly homeless. Most of the Hope Living residents are living with complex mental health challenges and multiple physical disabilities. The program offers a variety of on-site amenities, including a full-service dining hall, activity room, and expansive outdoor area. Hope Living provides its residents with comprehensive health and wellness support, enabling them to maintain their independence while developing life skills and integrating into the community. Knights of Columbus Charities
Coats For Kids - The goal of the Coats for Kids program is to ensure that no child goes without a coat during the winter season. Knights of Columbus Council 9544 purchase new winter coats for children in need at a discount and distribute them in their local communities thereby providing warmth for deserving children during cold winter months. Families struggling to make ends meet use their scarce resources to meet the most basic needs and cannot always afford the vital essential of a new winter coat.
Food For Families - Council 9544 of the Knights of Columbus is committed to helping end hunger through the Food for Families Program which has donated millions of dollars and millions of pounds of food toward this end. Many in our communities are struggling through hardship and unable to provide food to their families. The goal of Food for Families is to ensure that as few as possible go to bed hungry each night by raising funds to support local food pantries, food banks and soup kitchens.
